🏫TAMAKI PRIMARY SCHOOL🏫

🏫Tamaki Primary School🏫

Tamaki Primary is a public school for boys and girls.
We have eight female teachers and two male teachers at
our school. It’s also a two story building.

Tamaki Primary school is located in Auckland, Panmure on
11a Alamein road . We have two colours that we have to wear,
It's navy blue and yellow,

We learn about different cultures like Tongan,Samoan,Maori,
Cook island and other cultures. We go to a lot of tournaments
for sports like Softball,Cricket,Soccer,Rippa Rugby,Rugby,Touch
and Netball. We also have a river named Tamaki river.

Our school has five School Values, One of the values are
Whanaungatanga and that means building positive relationships
with others around you. The second one is Ako and that means
teachers as learners and learners as teachers it also means to
share and collaborate with others. The other three values are
Manaakitanga which means caring for others, Mana Tangata
which means respect, peace and tolerance and Kaitiakitanga
which means Guardianship.

Tamaki Primary school also has monitors like when
students become a road patroller they have to make sure
that the students get across the road safely. There are also
students who go to every classroom and give fruit and milk
to the students. There are also student leaders that are
responsible and teach the other students what to do and
what not to do. When it’s near the end of the year all of those
students that do jobs around the school get to go to
Rainbows End, Going to Rainbows End is a reward for
those who look after the school and students.

Our school has Ten classes. Room One has the year
ones which are like five years old. Room Two has the year
two&threes which are like six and seven. Room Three also
has the year two&three. Room Four has the year fours which
are like eight, Room Five and six has the year five&six which
are like nine and ten. Room 8 and 9 have the year 7&8 and
they are like Eleven and Twelve some Thirteen. Room 10
has all the maori students.

What I liked about this year so far is that we get to have
P.E. that is where we go outside and play sports after lunch.
I will make sure I join every sport this year.
