Hauora Metaphor

Today I was making a metaphor that represented my hauora.
For my hauora I choose to do a tree because some trees are big so is my family.
To make my tree I used clay. Using clay to make a tree was messy because when Ms Aireen said that we could put water on the clay to make it not hard and to not touch their uniform. So some students dipped their hand into the water and mixed it up with the clay but it was to much water so the students rubbed their hands on their uniform. It was so MESSY and it was also FUN. It was fun because I saw some students put their hand on other students face after they have been playing with the clay. Also the students that had the clay got to paint their clay with the colour they wanted to use.
I also have some pictures of my tree from before it was painted to after it was painted.

I HOPE YOU LIKE THE PICTURES!!!!!!!

INDIAN AND GREEK QUESTION

Today the Kia Manawanui Syndicate were given our homework from Ms Aireen. The homework that I received was Tastes of the world INDIA and GREEK. What we had to do with our reading homework was to take it home with either our netbook or integrated studies book. First we had to read the book and answer the questions on your netbook by creating a DLO (Digital Learning Object) then blog it. But those students that took their integrated studies book home had to write their answers in that book.
Here is my reading task about INDIA and GREEK.
I HOPE YOU ENJOY READING ALL ABOUT MY READING TASK WHICH WAS BASED ON  TASTES OF THE WORLD INDIA AND GREEK!!!!!!!

What does back to school mean

On the first day of school the Kia Manawanui Syndicate were discussing about what does back to school mean? We all had to grab our integrated studies book and with our books we had to do a brainstorm about the question. Then we had to write a paragraph with all our ideas then digitize it onto our chromebooks.

I HOPE YOU ENJOY READING ABOUT MY UNDERSTANDING ABOUT WHAT DOES BACK TO SCHOOL MEAN!!!!!!!

Attitude program

Today on Wednesday the 13 February the Kia Manawanui Syndicate had a visitor to come talk about attitude. His name is Tony and he is the son of Kelly. First he was telling us about himself then he started talking about this book and showing us some pictures. The first picture was a lady that could stretch her eyeballs out. The other picture was a man that could stretch his skin out. The third picture was a old man that had hair sticking out of his ears and finally the last picture of a  man that had huge biceps.

Then after he talked to us we were allowed to stand up and stretch then go find another place to sit. Then he started talking to us about the 4 spiritual animals. The four animals were Beavers, Golden Retrievers, Lions and a Otters. After he told us the animals Miss Aireen was calling out the names for group one to grab their pencils or pens then leave to Rm 9.

In Room 9 the first thing we did was play a game called Stand Up If. So how you play this game is someone says stand up if and then they ask a question and the people have to stand up if instead of putting their hand up to answer the question. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN WITH TONY!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want to know what animal I am it is a Golden Retriever which is an animal that is always helpful to others kind, peaceful, patient and a good listener.

I HOPE YOU ENJOY READING MY REFLECTION ABOUT THE ATTITUDE PROGRAM IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!

Hauora

This week the Kia Manawanui Syndicate are learning about our Hauora. Hauora is about your well being and it means four Dimensions which are Taha tinana,Taha Hinengaro,Taha Wairua and Taha whanau. Today we were given a worksheet which had these four dimensions what we had   to do with it was to write down notes on the worksheet while the two videos were playing. One of the videos were currently from the students that used to come to this school (Tamaki Primary School) and the other video was from a unknown person using powtoon.

When we finished writing notes we were given another TWO peice of worksheets. One of the two worksheets were the same as the first worksheet we were handed and the other worksheet had two list of examples for the four dimensions.
We were also given ANOTHER task to do. Which was to create a DLO (Digital Learning Object) Writing the definition of the four dimensions. So here is my DLO about Hauora enjoy reading about Hauora I hope you like it.

Reflection Term 1 week 2 2019

WALT: write a reflection on what we did today.

On Thursday 7 of February the Kia Manawanui syndicate went outside. First Mrs Aireen split us into two groups the first group went into the music room and the other group went to the field to play softball.

I was in the first group that was in the music room. In the music room we were learning about staying in time with the beat. The first thing we did in the music room was to listen to a song and try to stay with the beat. To stay with the beat you have to count to four and clap, hit the ground or just make a noise together with the beat.

When the groups swapped group one went to play softball and group two went into the music room. The first thing we did outside was run one lap around the bike track then we practise our throws and catches. Practising my throws and catches were kind easy but it kept getting harder and harder. After we practised we had a real game of softball it was so much FUN!!!

Private and Personal Information

For cybersmart the Kia Manawanui Syndicate had a discussion about what is private to share online and what is personal to share online. So Private means things you don't want the internet or anyone to know about. Personal means things you think that are not that important to share online. So the students gave different ideas and Mr J wrote our ideas on the whiteboard.
