➗✖MATHS➗✖
Today I am going to be talking to you about another maths strategy in class called Rounding and Compensating.

So here is what Rounding and Compensating looks like...

36 x 89
= (30x80) + (6x9)
= 24 + 54
= 78

So this is what Rounding and Compensating looks like and I think it would better using this strategy for two digit numbers.

  1. Hello Hope,
This is Hevani I really like how your finding different strategy to solve an equation, it is really interesting and smart. Keep it up, although I am confused with your strategy, appearntly you were adding 36 and 89 BUT as your solving this equation your timesing the both numbers, so I was wondering if you were adding or multiplying? Overall your blog is great and I also think that this strategy called 'Rounding and compensating' is easier when adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying two or three digit numbers.

    Keep up the GREAT work!!
